Our Story
Hi! We are Glenn and Alissa and we have been together 11 years (married for five of those years). We met after repeatedly bumping into each other in our neighborhood, and finally coincidentally sitting next to each other at a concert. We hit it off right away and have been together since! We live in Brooklyn, NY with our two orange tabby cats who are cuddly and friendly to everyone they meet.
We are so excited to be on this road to adoption. We know that the same love and respect that we feel for each other will help us to confidently raise and love a child as he/she navigates the world. We can’t wait to be a part of a child’s journey through life.

Where we’re from: Alissa was raised outside of Boston, MA and Glenn is from Lansing, Michigan.
Fun facts: Alissa studied jewelry design and loves to create art for friends, and Glenn originally went to school for saxophone performance!

The first time I knew I wanted to marry Alissa was after seeing her interact with her family. They were so close and expressive, yet down to earth. I knew I wanted that in my life. Alissa is committed to keeping family relationships honest, active, and real. She helps and has taught me to maintain this in our relationship, and I know we will work to offer this to our future family.

Everyone who knows Glenn describes him as the nicest guy they know. He is an incredibly loyal friend which is something I love most about him. He has a thoughtful way of looking at the world and is calm and kind in sharing his views. He’s spontaneous, up for all sorts of adventures, and encourages me to be that way too. I feel very lucky to have him in my life.
Our Home in NYC
We love living in New York City! Our apartment is located in Brooklyn on a beautiful tree lined street very close to Prospect Park (one of NYC’s most famous parks!). The neighborhood is diverse and incredibly family friendly. We are within walking distance of playgrounds, libraries, a quick drive or subway to the ocean and and easy escape outside of the city for a weekend away to be closer to nature.
